Rose Odengo, a seasoned communication strategist with nearly two decades of expertise in the field, will steer Madica’s communication and community engagements as the new Head of Communications and Community. She brings with her a rich portfolio spanning advertising, public relations, brand development, journalism, and digital communication, which will be invaluable in crafting compelling narratives for Madica and its portfolio companies. Based in Kenya, Odengo’s masterful storytelling skills will help illuminate the unique visions and journeys of the innovative startups in Madica’s ambit.

The baton of fostering growth within Madica’s portfolio companies, in turn, has been passed to Brenda Wangari. Her impressive credentials include experience in program management, investment analysis, and network building. Before joining Madica, Wangari played a critical role in spearheading entrepreneur support programs at Village Capital, enhancing innovation hubs across Africa. Her profound understanding of the continent’s startup landscape positions her uniquely to cultivate prosperity among Madica’s portfolio companies.

Since its inception in 2022, Madica has been an avid champion of Africa’s innovation, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation. Armed with a $6 million sector-agnostic fund, Madica aims to equip mission-driven founders, particularly female-led ones, with the requisite financial resources and support to transform their startups into formidable ventures.
