As part of the preparations to celebrate 10 years of its existence, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation (MIF) is producing a photobook titled My Africa, looking forward to the next decade and capturing African’s visions of the future of the continent . As it begins this celebration journey all Africans are invited to take part in a photo competition.
The #MyAfrica photo competition is an opportunity for African photographers of all ages and abilities to capture and submit their vision of the content with their own cameras as they feel will shape the continent in ten years time.
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation seeks for images that capture Africa in its many diverse settings and communities, representing the development, challenges and #opportunities could potentially look like over the next 10 years. As MIF turns 10, it is not only concerned about its history, it’s also interested in looking ahead and thinking about the future of Africa. The theme is open to each individual’s interpretation but the search is for beautiful, inspiring and original photographs.
