In a bid to be a driving force towards the development of digital solutions for the Cameroon tech ecosystem, one-day programmers (coders) workshop aimed at providing intensive training for all who wish to improve their programming careers or skills has been launched. The workshop titled “Life of a Programmer” will take place at ActivSpaces, Buea on the 30th of June 2017 from 10 AM.

Organized in partnership with Skademy, ActivSpaces, Zuoix and Siqueries, the Life of a Programmer event will drill participants on how to become a wealthy programmer while providing real value to their programming careers. They will also have the opportunity to learn some programming tips from some of the best programming gurus Silicon Mountain can offer. The workshop will feature tech minds and presenters like Otto Akama, Ebot Tabi and Zuo Bruno.

In addition to learning these skills set, potential programmers will also acquire knowledge on:

  1. How to utilize his or her coding skills to become an A-Class Programmer who will be capable of working in A-Class companies;
  2. How and where to discover endless streams of programming jobs;
  3. Make money as a programmer in a bid to achieve financial freedom.

At the end of the one day exercise, programmers will receive reputable certifications attesting to their acquisition of relevant skills in the field of programming as well as, acquire powerful knowledge on how to source not just for programming jobs, but those that are high earning as well.

Being a programmer is one thing and making money from programming is another and perhaps, the most difficult challenge most programmers face (especially in Africa).

The Life of a Programmer event seeks to be a game-changer for Cameroonian programmers who will receive the necessary training required to face the otherwise complicated programming market.
