Let’s take a closer look at overall social media presence and Guest Posting.

  • Social Media:

Most Cameroonian bloggers concentrate on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Social media is deeper and bigger than that.

As an aspiring professional blogger, you have to be everywhere on the internet which is sociable, this includes sites like Pinterest, Google Plus, Tumblr, Mix, Plurk, Linkedin, Reddit, Instapaper, Pocket; just to name a few.

You need to signup for accounts on, as many as possible social media and bookmarking sites. As a result, your overall social media presence will be felt, thus increasing your branding authority.

Guest posting comes with great advantages and benefits. In the first place, you get an opportunity to sell your brand to the audience of the blog you’re guest posting for. Secondly, you enjoy the benefits of contextual backlinks. Not to mention, the overall referral traffic to your blog.

A contextual backlink is the best type of backlink. It’s a vote of confidence, telling search engine algorithms, of the importance of the linked blog. Thus, ensuring a higher search engine ranking.

Blog Monetization

There are many ways to monetize a blog. With your unique contents, you can apply for a Google Adsense. With your overall social media presence, you can become an affiliate marketer. Thereby earning a commission for selling other brands’ products.

With the traffic you are able to drive to your blog from content promotion, you can sell advert spaces on your blog to companies. Reach out to companies producing products related to your niche, present your Google analytics to them, make offers they cannot resist, and then get paid for your advert spaces.

You can also create and sell your own products to your audiences.
