Why You Shouldn’t Miss the Colorfluid Design Workshop in Buea

Colorfluid Design Workshop

Join Bermond Yange and Agbor Collins of Colorfluid at the upcoming design workshop. The workshop is open for the web and mobile developers and anyone who has always had the desire to learn. It is scheduled for Saturday the 10th of June 2017 at Activ Spaces Buea and is proudly brought to you by Colorfluid and Activ Spaces Buea.

The Colorfluid creative agency is a little known,  small, but very talented team of passionate professionals with a zeal for branding, explainer videos, and UI/UX. Colorfluid has rendered services to startups in Silicon Mountain but mostly for international clients including Google, Facebook, Upwork, etc). You can have a sneak peak of their work samples here and motionfountain.net.

The workshop will last for 6 hours with an intense hands-on training session for the web and mobile developers who will be guided by experienced graphic and UX designers.

According to Bermond, the goal of the training is for participants to learn design tools, techniques, and workflows that will increase the value of their products.

AfroHustler caught up with Bermond Yange to throw more light on the significance of the workshop and he highlighted the following 3 points:

  1. Silicon Mountain startups need to start building products that look and feel as great as the amazing code driving them.
  2. Startups spend a lot on or ignore basic graphic design or visual aspects on their websites and products that could be done in-house if they had basic graphic design skills.
  3. We have too few quality graphic designers in Silicon Mountain. If we truly aspire to grow and compete with the rest of the world, we need more graphic designers. This workshop is a good first step for people who are interested in acquiring #ui and #ux skills that will define our industry productivity.

The course has been specifically designed to solve the problems that developers face on daily basis with the website, mobile app, standalone app user interfaces. It will involve essential skills on photoshop, design principles, and a full project to round off with.

By the end of the training, you will be able to produce more visually appealing and immersive interfaces (UI) with a much-improved user experience.

Still, in good faith, Activ Spaces and Zommi Vanessa of Afyatea.com understands the value of design and are willing to offer scholarships for 3 places each.

To keep the course effective, a limited number of places are available to ensure that everyone has a one-on-one experience with the trainers. More to that, a good number of credible graphic designers in the likes of Bine of Moukori studios, Mosemba Marvin of street mark designs, Prize of Colorfluid, Jeff of Colorfluid, Spark Virus of crazy graphics among others shall mark present to amplify this workshop with their expertises.
